Wildlife Care

Dr. Kathleen Deckard has been donating countless hours and resources to the help of wildlife in need for the last 16 years. Her hospital is dedicated to the care and treatment of injured and sick wildlife which is done in conjunction with several local wildlife groups in the area. Animals are examined to determine the extent of their injuries or illnesses then the necessary tests including blood tests and x-rays are performed. Nursing care is provided in addition to any necessary medications, treatments or surgeries free of charge. Once they are able to be sent to rehabilitation, the wildlife group is contacted to provide their care until they are able to be released back into the wild. Occasionally an animal that is unable to survive will be kept by the wildlife group or sent to a local zoo or school for teaching purposes.

Please contact one of the local wildlife groups if you find sick or injured wildlife. Please be cautious when handling these animals because they have the potential to be dangerous, especially when they are in pain.
