Medical Diagnostics and
CT referrals
Pets R Family Veterinary Hospital is a general practitioner of pet medicine, with a foundation of high-quality pet medicine and diagnostics. Our facility and diagnostic equipment are state-of-the-art, leading in technology and design.
Beginning in 2023, PRF incorporated an Epica CT Scanner, offering slice and cone dimension images, as well as Fluoroscopy digital video. Our images are professionally read, with reports back to us in as little as 24 hours if necessary. We are open for referral needs and utilize zero client onboarding. Digital images are loaded onto a memory device for return to their veterinary facility for medical consultation. Please call our main office to begin your client’s referral needs and start the next steps.
Advanced Veterinary Diagnostics Ensure Accuracy and Efficiency
Providing exceptional veterinary care means equipping our doctors and staff with the latest in modern diagnostic equipment. Using these tools, we can ensure that each of our pet clients receive a fast, accurate diagnosis and treatment plan. While routine physical exams play a significant role in your pet’s health, there are times when more advanced tools are necessary.
Digital X-Rays and Ultrasound Imaging
The use of digital radiographs (x-rays) is critical in assessing medical conditions and injuries in pets. X-rays are a non-invasive way our doctors can obtain an image of your pet’s bones, joints, and organs. They’re also used to more accurately observe and diagnose conditions. Radiographs can help us detect issues ranging from broken bones and foreign body ingestion to the diagnosis of soft tissue problems and cancer.
Like an x-ray, an ultrasound is another non-invasive procedure that uses sound waves to penetrate internal organs, creating an image that can be used by our veterinarians to diagnose and treat internal medical conditions. Ultrasounds are commonly used to detect liver disease, kidney disease, heart murmurs, pregnancy, birth defects, and more.
Other laboratory diagnostics we offer include:
- Electrocardiograms
- Full diagnostic bloodwork (complete blood count and chemistry)
- Cytology
- Ultrasonography
- Urinalysis
- Internal parasite screening
- Fungal cultures
- Feline leukemia and feline immunodeficiency virus
- Parvoviral enteritis testing (Parvo)
