Because pocket pets and exotic pets have specific medical needs and often shorter lifespans, we recommend annual wellness exams to help catch potential concerns early.
During your pet’s visit, our doctors may:
Perform a thorough physical exam
Discuss any recommended vaccinations or preventives
Review nutrition, behavior, and handling
Make recommendations for housing, habitat, and environmental needs
Answer your questions about everyday care
In addition to wellness exams, our team can provide diagnostic testing (including CT scans, ultrasounds, x-rays, and bloodwork), veterinary surgery, dental care, and other services based on your pet’s needs.
*Please note that at this time, we do not perform routine spays or neuters on exotic pets.

Dr. Kathleen Deckard has more than 25 years of experience as a wildlife specialist and a lifelong passion for caring for exotic animals and sick or injured wildlife. She earned her veterinary degree from the University of Florida in 1999 and received the Florida Veterinary Medical Association Gold Star in 2012 for her innovation and dedication in wildlife medicine and surgery.
